Instant Challenge Training is FULL

Thanks to all the teams who have registered for this Saturday's Instant Challenge training!  We'll be at John B Dey Elementary School.  A schedule will be drafted tomorrow night during our board meeting and emailed to TMs of participating teams.  Reminder that the fee is $10 for participation.

In addition, don't forget that Saturday is the deadline for registering (cheaply) for the regional tournament!  Please send registration money to the Assembly Drive address listed in the online registration form.  If you'll be at the IC training, you can bring your check to the site and we'll collect it from you then.  After Saturday, the price for registering for the tournament goes up.

Interested in being a Team Manager or Appraiser?  Go to DI UNIVERSITY at www.diuniversity.org. Simply set up a free account (using your email address) and interact with the module of your choice!  Periodic knowledge checks and a final assessment will give you feedback on how much you've learned.  This is a great resource for new Team Managers to get familiar with how to have team meetings and use creative problem solving tools!

Instant Challenge Training/Challenge Readthrough Schedule

Here's the schedule for Saturday's IC Training and Central Challenge Readthrough:

 

If you're planning on joining us for the Challenge Readthroughs, please arrive at First Colonial High School by 3:30pm.  The Challenge Readthroughs will take place in the Library (with the exception of Rising Stars as noted above).

To all: please park to the left of the building (as you face the building) or at the left end of the bus loop.  Enter the main doors to the left of the front of the building.

Resource Spotlight: Clarifications

As the season moves forward, your team may desire to request a clarification about the meaning or wording of a challenge.  Your team may submit a clarification to the International Challenge Masters (ICMs) at the IDODI website.  Your team will receive a personal response from the ICMs.  In addition, the ICMs may release published clarifications to everyone.  As the team manager, you should check the clarifications a few times each month to see if any updates have been published.

To submit clarifications, you will need to create a clarifications account (this is separate from a ShopDI account), and you can do so here.  Published clarifications can be seen on the IDODI website without an account.

We've updated our Calendar with this years' dates for trainings, events, and the Regional Tournament!  Please click the Calendar link at the left to see those dates.  In addition, our calendar is public on Google, so if you use Google Calendars, you can add our calendar to yours!

Instant Challenge Workshop is full!

Thanks so much to everyone who has responded and is joining us on Saturday for our Instant Challenge Workshop!  We're excited to have you!  Please remember to bring $10 with you.  In addition, teams may submit their registration form and $40 registration fee on Saturday instead of mailing it in.  We will also have Instant Challenge practice books for sale at a cost of $40... and they are well worth it!  There are tons of activities and practice instant challenges for your teams to use!  See you Saturday!

Instant Challenge Training
